Mrs. Terrie Solís teaches 4th Grade bilingual education at Shirley Howsman Elementary School in San Antonio, Texas. She has been teaching for a total of four years and has taught at Howsman for three of those years. Mrs. Solís, a former student of Howsman herself, speaks highly of the school's community and her fellow teachers.

"Education is not just between the teacher and the student. It involves the whole community, " Mrs. Solís says, "I always thought, 'How cool to teach here!' I just love it. This is a really neat community, and I love being part of that."
